Creation 2025

After 6 creations, the Libertivore company continues its research around animality.
The show "Faune" is the first part of the large-scale public space production "Phosphènes" which will be released in 2027. Also planned to be performed independently, it can be performed both outdoors and indoors.
A raw material: deer antlers
Faune, performed by three women, questions us about our relationship with the wild, our contemporary world and its necessary metamorphoses. The refined scenography is built around central objects: deer antlers. Bearers of a forest of symbols, they become the main axis of this creation.
Since prehistoric times, the deer has fascinated us with its majesty and power. Graceful and untamable, virile and imbued with wisdom, it has nourished the legends of many cultures. How can this animal, a witness to our archaic humanity, help us create the myths of today and tomorrow? From ancient cave paintings to today's deer surprised by the headlights of a car, how does it nourish our imagination?
The moulting of the deer, whose shape and colour seem more vegetal than animal and which each year falls like dry wood to grow back in the spring, gives us visible proof that everything dies and is reborn, that everything comes back to life.
She speaks to us of regeneration and leads us into the necessary mutation of our humanity.
In Faune, a herd of circus women will let themselves be traversed by this wild and powerful figure to talk about the transformations that their bodies and collective identities are experiencing. In their hands, deer antlers are transformed into unique circus apparatus, offering a rich and daring acrobatic and choreographic playground. Carried by original music, Faune is an invitation to renewal, a momentum to rethink our connection to the world.
4 people on tour : 3 aerial artists, 1 technician or 1 choreographer
Faune allows me to continue working on these spaces of disorder, where the boundary between man and animal is tenuous, where materiality and our perceptions are called into question. Inhabiting a space between dream and reality, which offers mutations by slippage, fusions or frictions. The movement, always present and renewed, is an invitation to look at the living between animal and human... Life and death... Feminine and masculine... Social and matter... Gravity and weightlessness. An ode to life.
